I took the plunge... and made an Etsy shop!

Every so often, someone will suggest that I sell some of the things that I make. As my fellow quilting, crafting, and other artsy friends will probably relate to, it's always strange for me to put a price on something I make, or even think about people wanting to pay for items!

After making some presents for my cousin's new baby, I thought I'd take the plunge. I made an Etsy shop.

I launched it a week ago, and I've sold three items. How fun is that?? I've only listed machine applique designs so far, but I'm planning to add a few other things this weekend (hopefully!).

It's a strange endeavor for me, but it's also been pretty fun. Any suggestions for a new shop owner? I'm not looking to make it my full-time gig, but it's nice to earn a little extra money, and it seems like a fun hobby!

  1. Good for you! I'm glad it's going well so far, and I'm sure you'll have more success with it. I've toyed with the idea of doing this, too, but I'm too insecure. Plus, I have a hard time finishing my own projects. ;)

I'll just live vicariously through you. And cheer you on!

  2. I'm so glad you did it! Once your name gets out there, I have no doubt you'll be a smashing success!! Good luck!

  3. I'm so proud of you!
Everything looks great...What brand onesies do you use?

  4. Looks great! All your cute embroidered stuff is now giving me embroidery machine lust, as if my tiny table had room for another machine! Maybe I'll see if I can get my Mom's running again...

  5. I also forgot to solicit your vote for a recipe contest I entered. I'd really appreciate your vote! Thank you (:

  6. Congrats!! Adorable!! We have a handmade linky party on Mondays and would love for you to join.
